Pastor Sylvester Taylor has been married for 43 years to Sonia Walters. They have four children Pam, Clova, Hal and Sarah all of who are active members in the church. Pastor Taylor immigrated to Canada in 1966 where he worked for a number of years while pasturing part time. Showers of Blessings became a registered entity in 1982, and in 1994 Pastor Taylor began pasturing on a full time basis. The premise of this church is based on one God, water baptism in Jesus name and the infilling of the Holy Ghost.

The Showers of Blessings Church vision is to have a diverse church where everyone is welcome regardless of cultural or ethnical background. We do not hope to have a traditional church but out goal is to establish a bible based church. The church goal is to establish branch churches worldwide spreading the gospel to others. Our goal is to serve the community by helping those less fortunate through food and clothing programs, counselling services, but the greatest of all is through prayer and healing of the mind, body and soul.
